Our Company History

Allied Senior Planning is a Texas-based company specializing in Nursing Home Medicaid.  Our staff leverages vast Medicaid domain knowledge to ensure quality prepared, thorough applications.  We shorten the time to approval and reduce the financial stress for families.  Our compassionate expert team is dedicated to helping families secure the benefits needed to provide quality care for their loved ones.

Allied Senior Planning began as a small, family-owned consulting service in 2016, originally named Allied Planning, partnering with nursing homes to expedite the application and approval process for Nursing Home Medicaid.  Our success quickly propelled us into long-term contracts with major corporations in Texas.  Working directly with contracted nursing homes, we were limited in our ability to assist families in other facilities.  We maintained singular focus on being the best Medicaid Planning and Consulting company in the state of Texas.  Our goal for nursing homes is to take the Medicaid application burden off of them so they could focus on what they do best: provide quality care for residents.

2016 – The Formation of Allied Planning

2018 – Growth in response to industry changes

By 2018 the challenges within Health and Human Services were making it even more difficult for families to access timely benefits. At the same time, the healthcare industry was evolving, with more seniors requiring care with less resources available. We expanded our team and resources to address these new challenges, investing in technology and training to ensure that we could continue delivering the most accurate and efficient Medicaid planning services in Texas.

The healthcare industry saw significant shifts in how services were delivered and paid for, directly impacting those reliant on Medicaid for long-term care solutions. Allied Senior Planning adapted to these changes by building stronger partnerships with nursing homes and healthcare providers, further strengthening our ability to guide families through the Medicaid maze.

Early on we saw firsthand how difficult and time-consuming it was for families to apply for Medicaid for nursing home care. With the ever-growing population of seniors and tightening governmental policies, we knew we could provide a solution not only to companies and corporations owning nursing homes, but also to county and individually-owned nursing homes. The decision was made to expand our scope to work with any Texas nursing home overwhelmed by the bureaucratic process.  Our goal remained clear: to streamline Medicaid applications, secure faster approvals, and help families protect their financial resources while ensuring their loved ones received the care they needed.

Our expertise in navigating Medicaid’s complex requirements became invaluable as we helped more families and facilities avoid financial strain during tough economic times.

2020 – Expanding service to individual nursing homes

2020 – Adapting to Global Pandemic Challenges

The COVID-19 pandemic brought unforeseen challenges to every industry, and senior care was no exception. As we were beginning our expansion to work with smaller nursing homes in 2020, the nursing home population sharply declined due to COVID outbreaks in some facilities. Once nursing home population began to return, families needed Medicaid support more than ever. However the pandemic slowed down the processing of applications and increased the complexity of approvals.

During this time, Allied Senior Planning quickly adapted by enhancing our ability to utilize digital tools and virtual consultations to ensure that families could continue to receive our services safely. Despite the economic downturn, which led to significant financial stress for many, we remained committed to helping families secure Medicaid benefits and avoid delays that could jeopardize their loved ones’ care. Our team worked tirelessly to navigate new COVID-related Medicaid policies, maintaining our commitment to fast and accurate service.

In 2023, Allied Senior Planning came under the sole ownership of its founder. The economic climate had stabilized post-COVID, but the long-term effects on Medicaid funding and healthcare access persisted. We expanded our services to meet the growing needs of seniors requiring nursing home care, adding new tools to better assist families and partnering with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication.

Our growth has been fueled by our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and compassion. We continue to adapt to industry changes, such as the rise of telehealth and evolving Medicaid policies, always with a focus on reducing the financial and emotional burden on families. Looking ahead, Allied Senior Planning remains focused on our core mission: every resident in every facility financially secure.
